How to Use Presets

Presets give you the power to generate your images in different styles with a single click. This short guide will assist you in getting the most of our 100+ expert curated presets.

Presets are the fastest way to explore new looks, themes and creative styles inside PhotoGPT. With just one click, a preset applies a themed lighting, mood, outfit tone, scene style and color direction; while still keeping your face and identity consistent.

This guide walks you through:

  • where presets are located and how to apply them
  • how to customize results and edit/save your generated images

Presets are flexible. You can generate as-is or add your own details on top in simple text prompts.

What Are Presets?

A preset is a ready-made style you can apply instantly. It defines:

  • the visual theme (e.g., cinematic, retro, beach, winter, studio)
  • scene characteristics (lighting, tone, angles)
  • stylistic decisions (mood, color palette, clothing and vibe)

Presets help you skip manual prompt writing for fast experimentation. If you’re new to PhotoGPT, start at the Image Generation tab and click on the Presets dropdown to discover styles you can generate in seconds.

Where to Find Presets in Your Dashboard

Customizing a Preset With Prompts

  • “winter outfit with scarf and beanie”
  • “office background, confident expression”

Using Presets With Your Trained AI Model

  • The preset defines the style.
  • Your trained model ensures the output still looks like you.

If you don’t have a model yet, you can create one in the Manage Models tab.

Saving & Organizing Your Results in My Library

You can save any result using the Heart icon or the Save button or add it to a separate folder. Images saved in a separate folder go to My Library, where you can create and manage new folders to organize your photos.

Below is a quick overview of common preset types. The actual library is far larger, but these categories can help you get started.

  • Professional: Clean studio lighting, neutral backgrounds, ideal for profile photos and resumes.
  • Lifestyle: Warm, natural scenes for everyday social media photos.
  • Cinematic: Moody lighting, dramatic tones, film-inspired looks.
  • Seasonal: Christmas, snow, fall, summer, Halloween and other seasonal vibes.
  • Vacation: Beach, travel, outdoor scenery-perfect for travel-style edits.
  • Fantasy: Fairytale, surreal, artistic and dreamlike aesthetics.
